Empower Leadership Academy for Girls announced a renewed partnership with the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. For the second year, Empower and the Vikings Women’s Initiatives and Youth Marketing will host a Full-Day Leadership Academy for up to 60 girls. The shared goal is to develop emerging female leaders, and to promote healthy, active lifestyles among young Vikings fans.
“[Empower] understands the importance of building up young women, including them, connecting with them and engaging with them as a team. Showing them opportunities that they might have for the future, and helping them to dream big,” said Tami Hedrick, Director of Women’s Initiatives and Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders head coach.
“We are thrilled to continue working with the Vikings,” said Empower Founder Pam Borton. “They are generous and engaged partners, and our organizations are aligned in our efforts to support leadership development in girls and women.”
